Clinical supervision is provided by Rachel Lafain, an accredited member of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) and an experienced Clinical Social Work Supervisor with over seven years of supervision experience. Rachel offers a supportive and reflective environment that encourages practitioners to explore challenges, enhance their skills, and build confidence in their professional practice while maintaining alignment with ethical standards and the NDIS framework.
For social workers, supervision sessions can also contribute towards the Australian Association of Social Workers’ Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements, with members required to complete a minimum of 10 hours of supervision each year as part of their ongoing professional development.

You will gain clarity on how the NDIS operates, what is expected of providers, and how to begin navigating the system with confidence. The goal is to build a strong foundational understanding so you can approach the NDIS space ethically and with greater certainty.
Consultancy and supervision fees are reviewed yearly. The 2026 price is $250 + GST per hour, in addition to any travel related expenses. Consultations can be held online or face to face. Face to face appointments can be held at venues in Prospect (Payinthi – 128 Prospect Rd) and Munno Para (Stretton Centre – 307 Peachey Rd) without incurring travel expenses.
All Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) members are required to receive a minimum of 10 hours of professional supervision each year. AASW recommends monthly, 60 minute sessions per year across a ten-month period for experienced social workers. They recommend fortnightly supervisions for newly qualified workers or social workers entering a new field. All focussed social work supervisions with Rachel count towards the required hours.
The AASW provides guidelines for documenting social work supervision meetings. These include having a Supervision Agreement, Supervision Records and an Annual Record of Supervision. The AASW website provides templates for each of these documents. The supervisee is responsible for all documentation. Rachel will ensure that you understand your requirements, support you with documentation within sessions, and sign agreements and records where appropriate.
